Juristat Celebrates World Intellectual Property Day 2022

Today, Juristat is pleased to celebrate World Intellectual Property Day with IP stakeholders all around the world.

Administered by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), World Intellectual Property Day is celebrated annually on April 26. The theme for World IP Day 2022 is “IP and Youth: Innovating for a Better Future.”

Young people are the innovators, the creators, and the entrepreneurs of tomorrow. Through their creativity and ingenuity, young people in all regions are driving change and carving pathways to a better future. World Intellectual Property Day 2022 celebrates this exciting generation of change-makers.

As part of its effort to support the innovators of tomorrow, WIPO has highlighted several young innovators (up to 35 years of age) and their work across five specialties (environment, health, communications, creatives, and research). Each innovator will be entered into the World IP Day Youth Video Competition.

WIPO will also host “Innovating for Better Health, Supporting Young Innovators Through IP” on April 26, which will feature panel discussions on the interplay between IP and the healthcare system. The winners of the World IP Day Youth Video Competition will be announced at the event.

A special youth-focused edition of WIPO Magazine was also published to celebrate the occasion.
