Technology Center 2400 handles data processing and telecommunications technologies, including multiplex and VoIP, cable and television, recording and compression, cryptography and security, and computer networks.

It has one of the highest allowance rates at the USPTO, at 77% compared to the USPTO average of 75%.

Despite being home to several software-related technologies, Alice rejections in TC 2400 are notably less common than in other related technology centers. It comes in third for the highest number of Alice rejections after TC 3600 and TC 2100. It also has the highest Alice allowance rate of the bunch at 77% — mirroring its overall allowance rate.
